Nutritional Labeling
Mandatory Nutritional Labeling
The mandatory nutritional analysis package includes all of the following components of a nutritional label:
- Calories
- Calcium
- Calories from fat
- Sodium
- Cholesterol
- Iron
- Dietary Fiber
- Vitamin A
- Protein
- Vitamin C
- Total Carbohydrates
- Fat Analysis (includes: total fat, saturated fatty acids and fatty acid profile)
- Sugars (includes: Fructose, Glucose, Sucrose, Lactose, and Maltose)
Also included are Moisture and ash, which are required for the calculation of total calories and total carbohydrates. The analytical results are reported on per 100g sample basis.

Label Nutrition Facts
Preparation of a nutrition facts label and conversion of the results to a label format are also available.
Sample Compositing
FDA regulated products require 12 sub-samples randomly chosen from a production lot. USDA regulated products require a minimum of 6 sub-samples from a production lot.
